THE
GATEWAY TERMINALS INDIA'S SAFETY
PRINCIPLES :
|
| . |
|
All
injuries and accidents are preventable.
Safety
is a way of life and a priority in every service we
perform.
Training,
instructions and supervision necessary to support
above policies is provided.
All
accidents and near misses shall be investigated and
corrective actions implemented by due date.
The
teamwork and individual responsibility is emphasised
on each employee for a safe work environment.
Emergency
response exercises are conducted regularly to ensure
the safety of our employees and terminal users.
Appropriate
procedures are maintained for recording of reports
of all safety incidents, and situations likely to
be hazardous to a safe working environment.
Every
service to customer is important to our success, but
no service is so urgent that it may jeopardise our
commitment to a safe work environment.
To
reduce accidents and injuries in the work-area, GTI
employees must recognise their role in the safety
program as port experts; and address unsafe work habits.
Every
GTI employee, contractor, vendor and visitor is responsible
and accountable for their own safety and the safety
of others; thereby ensuring a safe work environment.
